The failure of the Reformation in the Electorate of Cologne did produce an extremely popular hymnal, the Bonn Hymnal. Headed up by Bucer this hymnal had both hymns and psalms and included works from Lutherans and Reformed alike. It reminds us of our freedom to praise God with songs from the heart and that the congregation ought to be praising God in worship.
